Everyone wants to jump on the local bandwagon. Or should I say, corner the local share of the market? Organic food is beginning to look less like a fad, and although the word “natural” is not yet defined by the FDA, it is certainly a product buzzword. Then it is no surprise that McDonald’s announced plans to buy all its beef from sustainable sources. Given this point, McDonald’s is also working to form a viable definition of “sustainable beef,” perhaps one which is vague and broad enough to sound eco-friendly without including the words “Petri dish.” For more on this story check out the article at Forbes.com.
